    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

    CLASSIFICATION: Career Plan

    ANNUAL SALARY: $40,000 - $43,000

    FLSA STATUS: Salary/Exempt

    HOURS: Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 37.5 hours per week. Hours to include evenings and weekends as needed, as determined by the College.

    JOB SUMMARY: The Athletics and Fieldhouse Operations Manager provides administrative coordination to ensure a smooth operation of processes, policies, and procedures for all athletics events. The manager is expected to work in collaboration with the Director of Athletics to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant functions pertaining to events and activities at the SC4 Fieldhouse as well as other Skippers Athletics facilities and locations.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Daily management of the SC4 Fieldhouse/track/fitness center activities.
    • Supervises event staff and student workers at college sponsored games/tournaments.
    • Develop and administer training plans to ensure delivery of a consistent high-quality collegiate level experience for players, coaches, and fans.
    • Oversight of game day setup; researches and recommends innovative ideas for timeouts and half-time shows to encourage audience participation.
    • Oversight of cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting processes during SC4 Fieldhouse and other athletic events.
    • Leads planning and event management for all NJCAA and MHSAA hosted tournaments, high school all-star games, and other middle and/or high school events sponsored by SC4.
    • Assist with solicitations pertaining to athletic event prizes and sponsorships.
    • Directs activities and provides assistance to SC4 coaches to maintain game statistics on NJCAA/Presto websites ensuring compliance with NJCAA requirements.
    • Assist with planning and delivery of Skippers Athletics camps in collaboration with all SC4 head coaches.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Athletics

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in sports administration, business, or related field and minimum of one-year athletic administration/game day operations experience required.  Master's degree in sports administration or related field preferred. Experience as a collegiate student-athlete or coach and understanding of NJCAA rules and regulations preferred.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with faculty and staff at all levels
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Exercises good judgment in the use of and/or management of game workers, facilities, equipment and supplies while adhering to College policies and procedures
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, while focusing on providing world-class service
    • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
