    Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a senior-level Real Estate Paralegal with experience in commercial real estate development and finance transactions to join our sophisticated affordable housing and community development real estate practice.  This position can be located in our Baltimore, Philadelphia or Washington, DC office. This high performing and detail-oriented individual will assist attorneys with major affordable housing and community development real estate transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of loan documents, review of title, survey and other due diligence, organization of pre- and post-closing documents, and management of transactions and closings.

    Required Skills

    This position requires a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including excellent technical writing skills, are essential. Must be able to work independently, as well as with a team and with clients. Intermediate-level skills working with Microsoft Office applications, document management systems and time-keeping software are necessary. Must be able to work overtime when needed.

    Required Experience

    A college degree and 5+ years commercial real estate experience with a law firm, title company, mortgage company or other related entity is required. Past work on affordable housing and/or community development transactions is not required.
