    Classification: Probationary Status

    Salary Range: $45,726 – $81,858 Fall 2024 Rate, based on degree and experience. Excellent fringe benefits

    Job Duties:

    • Teaching assignments may include a full range of courses within the traditional and transition Associate Degree Nursing clinical program.
    • Teaching assignments may include a full range of clinical courses, primarily in medical surgical within the Associate Degree Nursing program.
    • Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or online courses.
    • Teaching responsibilities include clinical instruction, maintaining scheduled office hours, developing curriculum, participating in college service and professional development activities, advising students, and assessing student learning.
    • Leadership in developing and improving academic courses.
    • Community service is encouraged.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Nursing. Must obtain master’s degree in Nursing within 3 years from date of hire.
    • 4000 hours of non-teaching, related work experience.
    • Current Michigan license as a registered nurse or eligibility for Michigan licensure required.
    • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
    • Medical surgical experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree or higher in nursing preferred.
    • Teaching experience at the community college level.
    • Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom.
    • Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
    • Experience with electronic health records (EHR). Current knowledge of evidence-based practice in adult nursing.
    • Enthusiasm and strong interest in the implementation of emerging nursing-related technologies including simulation.
    • Passion for providing optimal clinical experiences for nursing students.

  • Qualifications

    Qualified candidates must have working knowledge of litigation docketing procedures and have three to five years of litigation docketing/calendaring experience using a rules-based docketing software while working in a law firm, corporate legal department or government agency. A two-year college degree is preferred. Must be available to work beyond the standard scheduled hours as needed.
