    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time, Faculty, Fall Semester 2020

    CLASSIFICATION: Probationary Status

    SALARY RANGE: $43,088 – $77,136 Fall 2020 Rate

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Teaching assignment may include a full range of courses within the Engineering Technology programs of Electronics, Engineering Graphics, Mechatronics, Precision Machining, and Welding.
    • Teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses within the Engineering Technology discipline pertaining to a variety of Advanced Manufacturing concepts including; electronics, engineering design, 3D CAD software applications, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical repair, robotics, CNC machining and programming, quality standards, technical mathematical concepts, and welding.
    • Teaching assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or on-line courses.
    • Teaching responsibilities include teaching courses, maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum and participating in College service, and professional development activities.
    • Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
    • Community service is encouraged.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Engineering or related Engineering field.
    • 4,000 hours of work experience in a mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or advanced manufacturing field.
    • All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
    • Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Teaching experience at the community college level.
    • Experience and/or interest in using multi-media/new instructional technology in the classroom.
    • Experience with various 3D CAD software applications.
    • Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software.
    • Understanding of various types of welding and fabrication processes.
    • Understanding of electronics and related equipment.
    • Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment.
    • Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.

  • Qualifications

    This position requires someone who is energetic, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and understands the cycle of a transaction. Candidates considered will be proactive self-starters with demonstrated experience maintaining high quality work products in a fast-paced environment and within time constraints. Strong writing and proofreading skills, oral communication skills, research, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in this position.
