    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-Time

    CLASSIFICATION: Leadership

    ANNUAL SALARY: $42,000 - $46,000

    FLSA STATUS: Salary/Exempt

    HOURS: Mon - Friday: 8 am. to 4:30 p.m. Hours vary and may include limited evenings and weekends as determined by the College.

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The creative services manager helps manage and promote the college brand and identity and translates strategic messaging needs into high quality, effective design and visual communications in support of college goals and priorities. The creative services manager is responsible for the conceptualization and art direction of creative efforts within the Office of Marketing and Communication. These include, but are not limited to the creation of logos, specific design resources for campus, such as templates and guidelines, as well as assisting with visual reviews and approvals to ensure various campus design projects adhere to the visual identity standards. Projects include print, digital, outdoor, and other advertising.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Direct the creation of high-quality designs and visual communications that help advance the college’s mission, vision and overall reputation.
    • Manage and implement the college’s brand and identity standards. Ensure that all materials produced meet the college’s standards.
    • Assist in the ideation and creation of multimedia and digital design content that enhances the visual brand of the college.
    • Continuously acclimate and adapt to changing design methodology, tools and technology.
    • Manage vendor relations to ensure high quality print production and accurate translation of project requests and finalization.
    • Manage graphic designer.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    SUPERVISION GIVEN: Graphic Designer

     

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Director of Admissions and Marketing.

     

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related area. Three years of experience as a graphic designer. Higher education or nonprofit work experience preferred. Experience with Google Ads and social media ad platforms preferred.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Demonstrated proficiency in graphic design and photo editing software included in Adobe Creative Cloud.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Canva
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
    • Thorough knowledge of communications and graphic design theory, advanced skills in graphic design techniques and processes for both print and web; demonstrated understanding of graphic design as a means of communication.
    • Thorough knowledge of applicable copyright laws relative to use of graphic and textual materials.
    • Working knowledge of publication layout, design and print production.
    • Working knowledge of web design principles, web graphics, web page construction, and multimedia.
    • Project planning and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, and proactively communicate status updates.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
    • Knowledge of all phases of printing, design for electronic communications, and other vendor services to ensure the most effective use of resources.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including attention to detail, required.
    • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency and “can do” attitude.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Excellent people skills.
    • Customer-service oriented.
