Job Summary Tutu School St Lucie West seeks weekday ballet teachers at our Port Saint Lucie, FL, boutique ballet studio. The instructor will lead 45-minute children's classes, teaching the foundation of ballet while using interactive activities and imagination to engage children. Applicants must love working with children, have experience working with children ages 2-8 in a group setting, and have a background in dance (ballet preferred) or theatre. Instructors must be highly confident in teaching children and interacting with parents. Responsibilities include teaching weekday classes with 5-10 children, coaching and developing children's skills, communicating with parents to discuss their child's progress, creative and fun imagination, preparing for classes, working local community events to increase brand recognition and memberships, and loving and compassionate nature. All applicants must be professional in all interactions and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Teachers will independently teach ballet classes (18 months to 8 years old)
Studio opening and closing duties
Selling monthly memberships and retail items
Lead and help coordinate special indoor and outdoor events
Lead and/or assist with occasional Birthday Parties on weekends
Brand ambassador representing Tutu School
Build rapport and communication with students' families and prospective clients.
Perform basic retail duties including product restocking and processing sales using a point-of-sale system.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the studio, lobby, retail display, and bathroom.
Communicate effectively with management and administration.
Qualifications
High school or equivalent is required (bachelor's degree preferred)
Extremely reliable and punctual
Excellent customer service
Excellent communication skills and professionalism
Excellent attention to detail
Experience working with young children (1 year required)
Teaching Experience (1 year required)
Background in dance required or theatre (ballet preferred)
Positive attitude
Willing to work a flexible schedule and available to work evenings and weekends
Reliable transportation
Bilingual skills highly welcome (Not required)
