    JOB OVERVIEW:

    The Maintenance Mechanic will be capable of delivering projects requiring a multi-disciplinary skill set, the Maintenance Mechanic should require minimal supervision, be self-sufficient, and be capable of occasionally directing a group of peers. The Maintenance Mechanic must consistently demonstrate good performance in the area of quality, productivity, safety, and overall work habits.

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

    • Take responsibility to safely and efficiently diagnose and repair machinery throughout the facility.

    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems, while conducting preventative maintenance to mitigate machine downtime.

    • Take ownership of daily assigned work and complete repairs within specified timeframes.

    • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies and procedures.

    • Help drive the safety culture to a zero-incident mentality.

    • Have working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers, AC/DC motors and controls.

    • Demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints.

    • Assemble, install and fabricate equipment as needed (welding will be required).

    • Demonstrate the ability to elevate skill set in maintenance areas which are not your strength.

    • Demonstrate the ability to submit timely and accurate paperwork.

    • Provide own tools (specialty tools proved by the company).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have two years of successful electrical troubleshooting and repair experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) and be able to operate small machinery (lathe, drill press, welding equipment.

    • At least one full year of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

    • Ability to commence and continue specific courses of action with urgency.

    • Maintain positive relationships with plant manager, supervisors, office, and operational personnel.

    • Demonstrate excellent communications skills.

    • Interpersonal, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

    • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds multiple times throughout the day.

    • Must be willing to work all shifts as business needs fluctuate.

    • Proven dependability and timeliness with assignments, tasks, and responsibilities.

    • History of excellent attendance is a must.

    • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office, computerized troubleshooting, etc.

    • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
