    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

This position will help scale a high-performing finance team that supports shaping the company's strategy and roadmap. Finance is looked at as the "tip of the spear" at Bambee - we're not just a service org reporting on monthly variances - we're driving actionable insights, providing teams guidance, and ultimately holding them accountable to KPI's. The Controller will run the accounting function of our rapidly scaling B2B SaaS business. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee a team of accountants and be actively involved in managing the day-to-day aspects of accounting while supporting treasury, tax, corporate strategy, and financial planning. This is a great opportunity for a rising accounting star looking to play a major role in building out and continuing to improve a scalable accounting framework for a hyper-growth company.

PHILOSOPHIES THE FINANCE TEAM LIVES BY

    • Precision & clarity. We aim to add precision and outcome clarity around every decision made throughout the organization. The finance function supports the rest of the company through a process we call IGA (insights, guidance, and accountability). We strive to create transparency and deep understanding of key business levers to empower teams to help hit their ambitious goals.
    • Curiosity. We're not a reactive team. We aim to drive meaningful insights that help shape the business. To do this, we have to understand all areas (and levers) of the business and willingly explore new ideas and unchartered territory.
    • Passion. We hire smart and capable folks that love what they do and aren't afraid to speak up. We're not a passive group - we challenge the status quo (respectfully) and challenge those around us to raise the bar for the collective group
    • Clear & concise communication. In order to successfully live by the rest of our philosophies, we must be effective communicators. As the finance function partners with such a diverse set of internal and external groups, being able to adapt messaging to clearly deliver and get buy-in around the intended message in an efficient manner is key.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration (or equivalent business experience) with a preference for candidates that are Certified Public Accountants
    • Minimum 10 years progressive accounting experience and/or 3-5 years as a Controller
    • Experience with both leading teams and being hands-on across all accounting functions
    • Experience overseeing tax matters and coordinating with external tax preparers and advisors
    • Experience overseeing external audits and working with internal teams to document and put in practice recommendations from those audits
    • Experience working at venture-backed companies strongly preferred
    • Experience working for hypergrowth B2B SaaS companies strongly preferred

    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and work quickly/accurately under pressure
    • Should be organized, goal oriented, energetic, team player, and responsive

    WHAT YOU'LL DO
