    Job description

    Physical Security Risk Management protects the organization’s employees, properties, and all items of value on premises from any preventable harm or danger. The Bank Security Supervisory develops security policies and procedures that comply with government guidelines and standards, conducts investigations to protect organization assets, responds to contingency events, including bomb threats, sabotage, and severe weather conditions through on-site security force or with the assistance of government law enforcement agencies and recommends hiring of outside security contractors as necessary and may oversee contract guard force.

    Role holders will carry out activities that will include most of the following:

    • Co-ordinate and manage projects; typically working on smaller projects/assignments
    • Assist in delivery of larger projects
    • Implement company policy and contribute to the attainment of functional results
    • Ensure the quality of tasks/services provided by colleagues, involving regular process checks or review of output by a co-worker and/or supervisor
    • Provide advice and assistance through application of acquired knowledge
    • Communicate technical/sensitive information
    • Co-ordinate and oversee work for a small team to meet agreed deadlines
    • Management responsibility for a team, including people, objective setting and performance
    • Provide general guidance/direction to mentor members of the team or develop their skills
    • Understand and adhere to established policies and procedures in own team
    • Support change initiatives and escalate any concerns

    For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $48,900 and $73,400.

    The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

    Requirements

    In compliance with applicable laws, HSBC is committed to employing only those who are authorized to work in the US. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as HSBC will not engage in immigration sponsorship for this position.

    • Minimum of FIVE years proven corporate security experience or equivalent.
    • Minimum of three years uniformed guard force supervisory experience.
    • Ability to work within an underground concrete bank vault with security systems, locking devices and mantraps.
    • Proficient in working with the CCURE Access Control system and March Network CCTV System.
    • Proficient in working with Digital Fingerprinting Systems.
    • Knowledge of First Aide & CPR training methods
    • Experience in payroll administration and overlooking and authorizing overtime for security guards when/if necessary.
    • Onsite work location in New York City.
