In this role, you will not only represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters but also provide day-to-day leadership and oversight to ensure files move efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance from intake through discharge. We’re looking for a dedicated professional with a minimum of 3 years of experience or a proven track record of handling 300+ bankruptcy cases. Responsibilities: • Partner with the paralegal team and clients to review bankruptcy files for accuracy, completeness, and readiness at each stage. • Prepare and coach clients for their 341 meetings, ensuring they understand the process, expectations, and required documentation. • Oversee the review of bankruptcy notices, motions, objections, and pleadings to maintain quality control, compliance, and timely responses. • Collaborate closely with case attorneys and trustees to resolve issues efficiently and keep matters moving forward. • Analyze each case for legal and procedural issues and develop practical resolution strategies (e.g., refiles, conversions, plan modifications, and other corrective options). • Handle case-specific legal needs as assigned, including reaffirmation agreements, modifications, dismissals, legal research, and related filings. • Conduct client interviews to gather key facts, identify legal issues early, and ensure the team has the information needed to proceed confidently. Qualifications: • Passion for helping people. • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. • Member of the Texas State Bar and in good standing. • Member of the four Texas Federal Courts or at least one, and willing to apply to others. • Ability to provide legal instruction independently.
