    About the Role:

    The Bankruptcy Attorney will manage approximately 50 cases with the support of a dedicated support staff. This role is ideal for an attorney seeking to develop further expertise in bankruptcy law while benefiting from the guidance of experienced leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Meet with prospective clients to determine chapter eligibility and prepare required documents.

    • Review Chapter 7 and 13 petitions, schedules, means tests, and plans for accuracy.
      Prepare and attend 341 Meetings of Creditors, ensuring clients are ready for proceedings.
      Monitor Chapter 7 and 13 cases post-filing, resolving objections and preparing matters for confirmation.

    • Communicate with trustees and opposing counsel to resolve issues and disputes.

    • Draft and respond to post-confirmation motions and related filings.

    • Supervise assigned paralegal staff, providing oversight and support.

    • Conduct legal research using platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.

    • Draft and review pleadings, contracts, and client consent forms.

    • Manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively while ensuring consistent client communication

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Georgia Bar membership required.

    • Effective communication and organizational skills

    • Strong research and analytical skills

    • Experience with Westlaw and LexisNexis
