We are seeking a full time bankruptcy law associate to add to our team. Position requires previous experience in a consumer bankruptcy law firm AND knowledge of chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies from either the consumer or debtor side.

However will train the right person. This would be ideal position for recent law school graduate or recent bar exam passer with an interest in consumer bankruptcy or for a former federal law clerk.

Friendly and confident consultative approach towards clients and be able to speak and meet with prospective clients on the phone or in person at our office(s). Must be able to analyze a client's situation and offer the best chapter of bankruptcy, or another solution. Will be handling meeting of creditor hearings. Fluency in Spanish or other language is a plus!

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must be presentable and eloquent as you will be representing the law firm with potential clients and in court
• Ability to work well with others in a professional office environment.
• Ability to handle actual case work and multiple cases at same time for clients from start to finish.
• Be organized , pay attention to detail, meet deadlines and communicate well.
• Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy experience preferred .
• Must have excellent listening skills and patience with clients to establish credibility and establish rapport quickly.
• Multitasking and handling multiple cases at same time without stressing out is important. This is a very fast paced environment at all times.

Salary: $70,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year commensurate with experience for full time.
