BANKRUPTCY SPECIALIST
The Bankruptcy Specialist processes all bankruptcy notifications received from the U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court, our clients, consumers, and their attorneys.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing all bankruptcy notifications.
- Match the given court information to our consumer accounts, then request proof of claim (POC) forms for accounts that meet our pre-set company and client criteria, and close all other accounts that do not meet our criteria, or exceed state and federal statute laws.
- Gather any documentation from internal file storage.
- Communicate with clients via telephone, email, and letter mail, and occasionally with the consumer’s attorney.
- Investigate and resolve any balance discrepancies presented by a client before filing a POC, to ensure our claim is accurate and due.
REQUIREMENTS
- ****Credit check will be required – If the following items are on your credit check, you will not be eligible: Bankruptcy, collections, charge-offs and financial court judgements against you.****
- Must be literate and fluent in English.
- Must know basic math skills.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and not rely on constant direction.
- Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
- Must maintain professionalism when dealing with difficult consumers or difficult office situations.
- Dependable attendance record is desired.
