The Berry Hill Resort and Conference Center is looking to add a Banquet Captain to our growing team. As a Banquet captain, you will oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our clients and guests while also managing event staff.

The position requires good communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to stand and exert effort in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must also be willing and able to work a varied schedule that includes mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The successful candidate must be able to understand Banquet Event Orders and familiarize themself with event details. They must anticipate any challenges and inspect function rooms prior to the start of the event to ensure setups are complete and accurate as per the event order.

Ensure food and beverage are accurate and as per the event order. Ensure timing is accurate and no menu items are missing.

Must be able to walk and stand throughout the majority of each shift and able to lift 50 pounds.

Ensure that staff members return all equipment to the storage areas, and confirm the room is left clean and tidy.

Ensures that all banquet staff are well-groomed and in proper uniform and assures the neatness, cleanliness, and safety of all banquet areas.
