    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook a variety of banquet-style dishes according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
    • Assist with menu planning for large events, collaborating with the culinary team to develop appealing and innovative options.
    • Maintain proper food handling procedures, adhering strictly to food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.
    • Set up kitchen stations efficiently, organize ingredients, and manage cooking timelines to ensure timely service during events.
    • Support catering operations by preparing meals for large groups, ensuring portion control and presentation standards are met.
    • Collaborate with servers and event staff to coordinate meal service, ensuring smooth operation during busy periods.
    • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including proper storage of ingredients and disposal of waste in accordance with health regulations.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
    • Efficient in preparing large, various quantities
    • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or catering environment.
    • Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and fine dining standards.
    • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques essential for banquet service.
    • Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Previous experience in the food industry or kitchen settings demonstrating culinary expertise.
