Position Summary The Banquet Manager oversees all aspects of banquet operations, from planning to execution, ensuring high-quality service, team efficiency, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing banquet staff, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining standards of excellence for events of all sizes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the planning, execution, and breakdown of all banquet functions
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during events
Manage scheduling, staffing, and training of the banquet team
Execute Banquet event orders (BEO); ensure all events are set up, executed, and broken down according to standards and timelines
Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations
Coordinate with the culinary, sales, events, and operations teams to ensure flawless service
Maintain an inventory of banquet equipment and supplies every quarter
Ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting for events.
Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including liquor laws and company policies
Promote a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Provide profitability analysis on all banquet functions and implement cost savings and efficiency measures as necessary
Train and lead banquet staff to ensure high service standards.
Qualifications and Skills
3+ years of experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality management
Proven leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Ability to stay composed under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Proficiency in event setup standards and basic AV requirements
Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus
Must be at least 18 years old
