  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Provide professional, attentive, and personalized food and beverage service during banquet events and catered functions
    • Set up, maintain, and break down banquet event spaces according to event orders, banquet standards, and operational requirements
    • Serve plated meals, buffets, passed hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and wine service in accordance with hotel service standards
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, service stations, and dining areas throughout events
    • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns
    • Collaborate with Banquet Captains, Culinary teams, Bartenders, and fellow team members to ensure smooth event execution
    • Monitor tables and service areas to maintain proper presentation and guest satisfaction throughout service
    • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
    • Assist with transporting banquet equipment, trays, linens, dishware, and supplies as operationally needed
    • Support weddings, VIP events, conferences, galas, and high-volume banquet operations as assigned
    • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor consistent with luxury hospitality standards
    • Uphold hotel policies, service standards, and operational procedures at all times
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality service experience preferred
    • Luxury hotel or upscale dining experience preferred
    • Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event environment
    • Strong teamwork, multitasking, and organizational abilities
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure during busy service periods
    • Professional appearance and demeanor required
    • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operationally required
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
    • Must possess or be able to obtain any required Louisiana food safety certifications in accordance with local and state regulations
    • Must meet Louisiana legal requirements for alcohol service if assigned to serve alcoholic beverages
    • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor (RV) Server Permit if assigned alcohol service duties
