Banquet Server – Job Description
A Banquet Server is responsible for providing attentive, professional food and beverage service during private events, parties, and special functions. This role ensures guests have an exceptional dining experience while maintaining efficient service and event flow.
Key Responsibilities
Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, linens, glassware, and place settings
Serve plated meals, buffet items, and beverages in a professional and timely manner
Maintain knowledge of the event menu to answer guest questions
Clear tables and reset as needed during and after the event
Work closely with the kitchen and event team to ensure smooth service
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Provide friendly, courteous service to all guests
Qualifications
Previous restaurant or banquet service experience preferred but not required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to stand and carry trays for extended periods
Flexible schedule - most events are Saturday morning/afternoon, Wednesday & Thursday evenings, random Sunday or Mondays
