    Job Title: Banquet Setup

    Department:

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Summary: Responsible for the setting up, cleaning, servicing and maintenance of banquet equipment function rooms and related service areas. Ensure guest satisfaction, the achievement of property standards, safety standards and profit maximization.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Correctly and efficiently, set up and break down all department functions.*
    • Keep function room area and storage areas clean and neat at all times.*
    • Return all equipment not in use to proper storage area in clean condition before the end of each shift.*
    • Check electrical hook-ups for proper working order and tape down all exposed cords for equipment in use.*
    • Service/freshen all meeting rooms during breaks.*
    • Perform periodic deep cleaning of banquet areas.*
    • Assist guests whenever possible, referring all requests which are beyond scope of responsibility immediately to supervisor.*
    • Assist other house persons in physical set-up, cleaning and arrangement of tables and equipment.*
    • specifications while adhering to standards of job safety.*
    • Follow all SOPs, policies, procedures and regulations are followed.*
    • Check temperature and see if all lights are working and adjusted properly.*
    • Working knowledge of AV equipment, assist AV person/guest as needed.*
    • Assist banquet servers as needed.*
    • Complete work orders on any damaged equipment for repair.*

    Certifications:

    Food Safety Certification

    Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
