We are seeking a dynamic Banquets Houseperson to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities
Greet every guest with a smile and maintain eye contact.
Must be courteous and gracious, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel
Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism and friendliness
Demonstrate expert understanding and knowledge of the sequence of service, following this sequence for every guest
Ensure all furniture in event area is clean and arranged properly
Help set up and break down event equipment, including delivering event supplies to the space as needed
Ensure that all public areas are neat and clean
Replenish event supplies during event breaks as needed
Ensure all equipment is returned to its proper area and all areas are cleaned upon conclusion of the event
Complete prep and side work efficiently so focused attention during the event can be given fully to guest care
Maintain cleanliness of event work area and equipment
Attend all pre-function meetings required to ensure events flow smoothly
Service all aspects of the event operation in accordance with all departmental and hotel standards
Take ownership of all service issues brought to your attention by guests
Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel
Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested
Core Competencies
High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Two (2) years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred
Strong communication skills
Collaborative spirit

Computer Proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS
