Banyan Search is currently assisting a Triad organization in their search for a Corporate Controller. This organization is in a growth mode and needs the Corporate Controller to lead the corporate accounting and financial management team. The ideal candidate will have proven Corporate Controllership experience in a dynamic/high growth environment, and will have experience in leading the accounting activities for corporate M&A activity.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and review preparation of financial statements
- Review financial statements at a regional and consolidated level, and understand/explain variances to determine financial performance and trends
- Oversee the forecast and budget process
- Provide support and assistance to corporate and branch accounting staff
- Prepare financial info and KPI’s for Board of Directors
- Oversee general ledger and financial reporting
- Work with external auditors on audit and tax matters
Qualified candidates for the Corporate Controller role will possess:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10+ years of accounting management experience
- 5+ years of Corporate Controllership leadership experience
- Public accounting experience a plus
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Multi-site accounting experience and M&A experience strongly desired
- The ability to communicate effectively using both written and oral communication.
- Strong computer skills with an ERP system
- The ability to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
