Banyan Search is conducting a search for a Senior Accountant for an exceptional Greensboro client.Our client offers exceptional compensation and other benefits. This role will play an integral part of a high performing Financial Reporting team!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring results are in compliance with GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis to understand trends and variances to financial plans
• Work with various business partners to understand financial results and provided analytics as needed
• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required
• Prepare reporting to be consolidated into SEC filings (10Q, 10K, statutory filings) as well as financial reporting for management as required
• Lead process improvements to streamline workflow and improve accuracy of information
• Develop accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls
• Provide information to internal and external auditors and ensure internal controls are maintained

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance
• 2-5 years of accounting related experience, preferably with some in public accounting
• CPA (or in process) certification required
• Exposure to publicly-traded corporation and SEC reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
