Bar Manager
Position Overview
The Bar Manager oversees the daily food and beverage operations for our lobby outlets, poolside service, and In-Room Dining (IRD). This leadership role is responsible for ensuring all departments consistently meet Forbes Travel Guide service standards while delivering a premium guest experience. The successful candidate will balance operational excellence and financial performance with creative beverage innovation that reflects the luxury hospitality of Napa Valley.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Supervise daily F&B activities across multiple outlets to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Service Excellence: Train, mentor, and lead staff in Forbes service protocols, maintaining a culture of high-performance and luxury hospitality.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with culinary and beverage leadership to execute creative menus featuring high-quality local influences.
- Financial Management: Oversee inventory control, procurement, and labor scheduling to meet budgetary goals and optimize profitability.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and ABC alcohol service regulations.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular service audits and lead educational sessions on wine knowledge, mixology, and food pairings.
- Guest Relations: Professionally resolve guest concerns and implement feedback to continuously improve service quality.
- Strategic Collaboration: Support F&B leadership with seasonal promotions, special events, and property-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a luxury food and beverage environment.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of wine, spirits, and high-end service standards.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and team-building capabilities.
