  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Oversees the booking and manages service of restaurant parties, special events and room service hospitality suites. Develops means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities, etc. Build strong relationship with surrounding businesses and offices to help promote the bar business and small restaurant parties.
    • Estimate food, liquor, wine, and other beverage consumption in order to anticipate amounts to be purchased or requisitioned, perform monthly inventory of all hotel beverage asset. Manages outlet's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals. Order and purchase equipment and supplies. Build lasting relationship with beverage partners in order to create promotion and special events. Understands the impact of department's operation on the overall property financial goals. Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc. Promote the safe use of the bar, its equipment and building under the Health and Safety at Work acts, Hygiene and other regulations. Implement any necessary changes in the bar as dictated by the needs of the operations and the company
    • Handling of all daily aspects of operations required.
    • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviors. Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors, or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge or skills. Acts as the guest service role model for the restaurants, sets a good example of excellent customer service, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations. Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service. Follow up on guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Meets with guests on an informal basis during meals or upon departure to obtain feedback on quality of food and beverage, service levels and overall satisfaction. Responds effectively to guest problems and handles complaints. Reviews guest satisfaction feedback with employees to develop appropriate corrective action.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years management experience in Food & Beverage and/or a luxury restaurant. This position requires exceptional verbal/written communication abilities. This position directly supports the Assistant F&B Director in the operation of Bar, and assist on the operation of restaurant and in room dining. Full knowledge of Food, Wine, Inventory Management, and Food & Beverage cost maintenance is a must.

    • Must have the ability to oversee a luxury property operations including hiring, training and maintaining luxury products and standards.

    • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, demanding, high-end work environment. Exceptional interpersonal skills and follow-up/communication is necessary. Candidate must display strong people and organizational skills including: constant high expectations, numerous staff interactions, working on the floor and maintain all service standards within labor guidelines and a fast paced, diverse luxury environment

    • Strong computer skills are necessary, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, MICROS, and OpenTable. The position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including AM, PM, late nights, and weekends.

  • Compensation
    $72,000-$72,000 per year
