Job Summary: We are seeking a professional Security Guard / Door Staff to join our team at 3rd Base Bar. In this role, your primary responsibility is to create a safe and secure environment for our guests, employees, and assets. You will monitor entrances, check IDs, prevent and de-escalate conflicts, and respond to any incidents that occur in our very busy bar. The ideal candidate has experience with bar or nightlife security, operates with integrity, and remains calm under pressure.

Responsibilities:

Patrol the bar and surrounding premises to maintain a high level of visibility

Monitor entrances and check IDs to ensure legal compliance

Prevent fights and de-escalate tense situations

Remove trespassers or disruptive guests when necessary

Monitor surveillance cameras and report any suspicious activity

Communicate clearly with bartenders, managers, and other staff

Complete incident reports accurately and promptly

Follow all TABC regulations and bar policies

Qualifications:

Prior bar, nightclub, or event security experience preferred

High school diploma / GED or equivalent

TABC Permit required

CPR and First Aid training preferred

Strong understanding of public safety and bar security procedures

Ability to identify fake IDs and enforce age restrictions

Excellent communication skills, including report writing

High level of professionalism and integrity

Ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure

Strong attention to detail and observational skills

Ability to work nights, weekends, and busy holiday shifts

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, high-volume bar environment

Frequent interaction with diverse guests

Must be prepared to respond to conflicts and enforce rules in a professional manner
