    Position: Barback – The Stillhouse, Traverse City Whiskey Co. Reports to: Lead Mixologist / Hospitality Director Compensation: $12/hr + tips (approx. $20+/hr) Hours: Full-time, part-time

    Overview: At Traverse City Whiskey Co., our barbacks are the behind-the-scenes MVPs that keep our tasting room running like a well-oiled (and well-poured) machine. You’ll work closely with our bartenders to ensure the bar, patio, tasting room, and retail area are fully stocked, spotless, and Instagram-ready at all times. If you’ve got hustle, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs before anyone asks, you’ll fit right in.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Demonstrate a strong understanding of great guest service and northern hospitality

    Assist bartenders with daily operations and prep needs

    Clear and sanitize tables, bar top, and guest seating areas

    Collect and return all glassware, dishes, and other items from the tasting room and patio.

    Load, run, and unload dishwasher; restock clean glassware and bar tools as needed

    Restock bar supplies and mixers as needed

    Restock retail products and merchandise and ensure storage areas are secure

    Maintain restroom cleanliness and restock supplies on an ongoing basis

    Keep all work areas clean, organized, and guest-ready

    Perform additional cleaning tasks such as windows, doors, and flight boards

    Assist with weekly cleaning projects in the bar area and tasting room

    Fill in as our brunch host on an as needed basis (Saturday and Sunday mornings only)

    Skills & Qualities We’re Looking For:

    Strong work ethic and a “see it, do it” attitude

    Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

    Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness

    Willingness to learn new skills

    Team player who communicates clearly

    Comfortable working on your feet for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

    A valid driver license is required

    Evening, weekend, and holiday availability are required
