Barber National Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse or experienced Licensed Practical Nurse for a part time staff training position.  Hours are approximately 8 – 12 hours per month.  Must be available for morning and late afternoon classes one to two days per week as needed.

Responsibilities include training employees in topics such as: OSHA/Standard Precautions, personal care, proper transfer techniques, medications given via ancillary routes, seizure disorder, etc. We are committed to providing a safe environment throughout the hiring process, orientation, and at the worksite. Covid training, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting, and ample PPE as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TRAINING NURSE - PART TIME: • RN or LPN licensed in the State of PA • Experience with persons with Intellectual or physical disabilities is preferred • Must have ability to prioritize workload, work independently, have sound nursing experience and ability to teach adult learners • Valid driver's license • Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Clearance and Child Abuse History Clearance
