Internship/Care Coordinator

The Barber National Institute is looking for a full-time Internship/Care Coordinator to provide oversight of the Barber Behavioral Health internships and provide administrative support to their service line.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Leadership to develop and oversee an internship program and ensure proper candidates are gaining meaningful field experience.
• Develop learning objectives and goals with each intern for them to gain work experience and an overall feel for the mental health industry.
• Ensure programs are working with the intern to be successful by providing coaching and advising each intern.
• Serve as the first point of contact for families in need of behavioral health services and help direct them to the appropriate services they need.
• Be responsible for gaining knowledge in the behavioral health service line to guide and communicate to families what services may be available and beneficial to help their child be successful.
• Act as the point of contact for Barber Behavioral Health for incoming calls and inquiries.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related human service field with 1-year related experience
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Eligibility for State Police Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance
• FBI clearance required for individuals who do not meet PA residency requirements
