    POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Quality Engineer oversees program quality and provides support to various functional departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales as needed to ensure product quality and continual improvement as well as addressing cost, competitiveness, and customer expectations.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee engineered product programs to ensure quality and contractual requirements are met.
      • Review and understand contract requirements and properly flow down requirements internally and to suppliers
      • Support engineered product programs from design through production
      • Review contract related purchase orders to ensure contract requirements are captured and communicated to suppliers
      • Manage and coordinate customer source inspections
      • Review production route cards to ensure proper quality, customer, and applicable hold points are in place
      • Review drawings and provide input to production for proper route card creation of parts, subassemblies, and top-level assemblies to ensure contract requirements are met
      • Support customer meetings as company quality representative
      • Support required customer documentation throughout the program
      • Create Certification of Conformance and data packages based on contract requirements
      • Support customer audits by providing objective quality evidence of compliance.
    • Monitor, assess, and improve design and program quality, in-process production, inspection, and assembly performance to ensure program requirements are maintained
    • Continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure quality with zero defects and/or escapes, which are measured by completion of predetermined improvement initiatives.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.

    Education and Training:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline or combination of education and experience.

    Experience:

    • Five years' experience in quality engineering or quality assurance.
    • Five years' experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).

    Other:

    • Must be willing to work overtime as required.
    • Travel up to 20% of working time.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATION:

    • Training certificates (CQE, CQA, CQT)
    • Experience in a complex metal manufacturing environment - aerospace environment preferable

    COLORADO'S EQUAL PAY FOR EQUAL WORK ACT: Requires employers to provide the following information for position that is located in Colorado:

    • Hiring Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000

    The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for bonus.
