POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Inspector II works with little supervision/mentoring and is proficient at all manual inspections with the manual Coordinate-Measuring Machine (CMM) and operating prior programed Digital Computer Controlled (DCC) CMM. Inspects components, assemblies, and related paperwork to ensure compliance with contract specifications. Ensures that no non-conforming or rejected product gets shipped to the end user or customer. Focused on providing the highest quality products to customers.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Gather documents, prepare the workstation and ensure that changes have been incorporate prior to inspection. 
    • Evaluate parts to ensure that they meet the specified requirements per the inspection plans.
    • Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meet customer needs and organizational objectives. 
    • Continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure zero escapes on manual inspections and the CMM.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:  To qualify for this position, an individual must posses the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required. 

      _ Education: _

    • High School diploma or equivalent.

    _   Experience: _

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality inspection function in complex custom manufacturing environment.
    • GD&T experience with a variety of machining processes.
    • Knowledge of programming with PC-DMIS and CMM Manager.

    _   Other _

    • Must be willing to work overtime as required
    • Travel up to 5% of working time

     

    DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Associates degree or completion of an apprenticeship program in a related field is desired.
    • Experience in an ISO9000/AS9100

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. No security clearance required.
