    POSITION DETAILS:

    The Supplier Quality Engineer evaluates and inspects incoming parts at receiving inspection, performs source inspections at the supplier and works with procurement evaluate and approve suppliers through data analysis and auditing.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accountable to monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure continual ability to meet company needs and expectations which are measured by defect rates, countermeasure closure per plan, Corrective and Preventive Action closed per plan, source inspection and on-site audit performed per plan.
    • Accountable to oversee system that assesses the quality of all incoming parts developer planned inspection criteria which are measured by incoming inspection plans created prior to receipt, incoming certification review cycle time, and inspection cycle time.
    • Accountable to continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure quality with zero defects and excursions which are measured by completion of predetermined improvement initiatives.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.

    Education and Training

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline or combination of education and experience.

    Experience:

    • Five years experience in quality engineering or quality assurance.
    • Three years experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).

    Other:

    • Must be willing to work overtime as required.
    • Travel up to 25% of working time.

    DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATION:

    • Training certificates (CQE, CQA, CQT) are desirable.
    • Experience in a complex metal manufacturing environment – aerospace environment preferable.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

    Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. No security clearance required.
