POSITION DETAILS:

The Quality Engineer provides support to the various functional departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Sales as needed to ensure product quality and continual improvement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor and assess incoming parts, in-process production, inspection and performance to ensure customer requirements are maintained.
• Maintain documentation within the quality management system for compliance with internal procedures and contract requirements. 
• Continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure quality with zero defects and excursions which are measured by completion of predetermined improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.

Education and Training

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other engineering discipline or combination of education and experience.
• AS9100 Auditor certified or ability to obtain certification.

Experience:

• Two years' experience in quality engineering or quality assurance.
• One year experience with recognized quality systems (ISO, AS, QS, TS).

Other:

• Must be willing to work overtime as required
• Travel up to 20% of working time.

DESIRED JOB QUALIFICATION:

• Training certificates (CQE, CQA, CQT) are desirable.
• Experience in a complex metal manufacturing environment – aerospace environment preferable.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship. No security clearance required.
