Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome customers into the Cookie/Coffee shop and prepare their orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their experience at our shop. The ideal candidate is passionate about cookies and coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into the Cookie shop with a smile

Take food and beverage orders

Explain the menu items to customers

Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex

Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency

Bus tables and wipe down surfaces

Maintain a clean work environment

Restocking and handling inventory

Supporting the team with general store duties as needed

Qualifications:

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring

Excellent customer service skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Must be punctual, professional and a team player

Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment

Ability to stand for extended periods
