Barista / Cashier — Morning & Evening Shifts

Location: Newport Beach, CA

About the Role

We’re looking for a reliable, friendly, and service-driven Barista/Cashier to join our team. This

role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced café environment, takes pride in great customer

service, and can confidently handle both barista tasks and register operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare espresso drinks, teas, and café beverages following house standards

• Greet guests, take orders, and provide warm, attentive customer service

• Operate POS system accurately, handle cash and card transactions

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including bar, pastry case, and dining area

• Restock supplies and assist with opening/closing duties

• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

• Support team members to keep service smooth during peak hours

Required Qualifications

• Morning and evening availability (must be able to work both AM and PM shifts as needed)

• Valid California Food Handler Card

• Completed Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (CA-compliant)

• Basic barista experience (espresso dialing, milk steaming, drink building)

• Customer service experience in a café, restaurant, or similar environment

• Cash handling experience with accuracy and accountability

• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience in a high-volume café & familiarity with specialty coffee standards

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
