    POSITION: PART-TIME

    COMPENSATION: $20/HR

    HOURS: M-TR: 8 am - 7 pm @ Coffee House on a small private college campus / M-SU: TBD Catering Events based on client needs

    Coffee House Shifts: Monday: 7 am - 2 pm, 1 pm - 8 pm Tuesday: 7 am - 2 pm, 1 pm - 8 pm Wednesday: 7 am - 2 pm, 1 pm - 8 pm Thursday: 7 am - 2 pm, 1 pm - 8 pm

    Positions will be M-TR in the Coffee House in Scripps Ranch. Friday through Sunday shifts would be based on event needs either on-site at our catering spaces or off site with clients. Any weekends and /or after hours on / off site event are happening weekly and are always opportunities to add extra hours. Having a flexible schedule for this position is highly desirable.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    BARISTA/COFFEE EXPERIENCE

    Proficient in serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas and other specialty beverages.

    Proficiency and/or prior understanding of automatic espresso machines is preferred.

    Prior knowledge and understanding of coffee origin, types, uses, etc. is also preferred.

    Necessary Experience: 1-2 years in a customer service position preparing and serving a variety of coffee, specialty and tea beverages.

    CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Candidates must be proficient in assisting customers before and after purchases, satisfying customer needs, questions, and/or concerns in a courteous and proficient manner.

    Must have the ability to listen and communicate respectfully, promptly, and effectively with both team members and customers.

    Necessary Experience: 1-2 years in a customer service position handling a variety of specialty foods and beverages.

    FOOD SERVICE & SAFETY EXPERIENCE

    Candidates must be able to prepare, store and serve basic foods and beverages in accordance with proper food handling and temperature compliance regulations.

    The ability to properly operate and assemble catering equipment (i.e. sternos, chafing dishes, serving dishes, etc.) at varying events.

    Candidates with a valid California Food Handler Certification and/or Barista Training Certifications are preferred.

    Necessary Experience: 1-2 years in a food & beverage setting with experience in basic preparation, serving, and/or cooking food safely and hygienically. Previous experience in catering and/or banquet service is also preferred.

    EXPERIENCE WITH CASH HANDLING & POS SYSTEMS

    Proficiency and/or prior understanding of POS systems, more specifically Square POS.

    Necessary Experience: 1-2 years in a customer service position handling monetary transactions and/or working with Point of Sale (POS) Systems.

    BASIC KNOWLEDGE, PHYSICAL & MISC. REQUIREMENTS

    Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, unassisted.

    Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, stand for prolonged periods of time, walk, and use stairs while on the job.

    Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record and be comfortable with driving Emjaye Inspired company vehicles.

    Keen attention to detail and the ability to work in an expeditious manner without compromising quality. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while simultaneously delivering exceptional customer service.

    Exhibiting proficiency in organization, time management, cleanliness while delivering products in line with company standards.

    Adhering to the provided daily, weekly, and as needed task sheets provided by the direct supervisor.

    Handling monetary transactions with both cash and POS systems will require candidates to have a basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts.
