Job Summary

We are a busy neighborhood cafe seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our team! In this role, you will warmly welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare their drink orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons have a friendly experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, hard working, fast, and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. We are a female owned and operated business, and we welcome people of all cultures and backgrounds. We are very serious about maintaining a good team and place high value on attitude and work ethic. Must have Thursday and weekend availability.

Responsibilities:

Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile

Take food and beverage orders

Explain the menu items to customers

Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex

Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency

Bus tables and wipe down surfaces

Maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:

Familiarity with food safety guidelines

Excellent customer service skills

Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for extended periods
