    About This Role 

    Simply put - you love people and you love dogs! As a Groomer Operations Manager at Barkbus, it will be your job to build & inspire a fantastic team of Barkbus Groomers within your designated territory. Our experienced Groomers work independently to provide Barkbus clients with convenient and elevated grooming experiences at their doorstep, and our Grooming Operations Manager will ensure that Groomers have all the tools necessary to deliver these high-quality services. The ideal candidate understands how to empower a team of Groomers, create a healthy and positive environment for Groomers to work in, and knows how to lead by example. You are a dog-lover at heart and understand the ins and outs of the Grooming world. You are both strategic and hands-on, and are excited by the challenge of building a start-up. This role will report directly to the CEO.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Build, motivate, inspire, lead and mentor a team of 10+ groomers
    • Manage performance expectations of Groomers to ensure customer satisfaction, profitability, and Groomer happiness
    • Responsible for overall management of client relationships to ensure world-class hospitality & service
    • Assist in issue resolution to maintain client happiness and retention
    • Manage regional hub’s P&L and drive performance of both services and Groomers via strategic planning and execution
    • Create positive culture that aligns with Barkbus values and goals
    • Build career-pathing for Groomers through focusing on growth and development opportunities for individual team members
    • Support leadership team to execute special projects related to expanding product offerings and areas of service. 
    • Recruit, interview, hire and train new hires to support business growth

    Qualifications:

    • Must be both a people and dog lover!
    • Grooming experience strongly preferred
    • 4+ years of experience in people management  - motivating and leading teams of 10+ employees
    • Business acumen, knowledge of managing P&L and business growth 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization.
    • Proficient with Google productivity suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc).
