Job Purpose: The job of Personnel Supervisor was established for the purpose of acting as a lead person in the delivery of human resource services with specific responsibility for providing information to associate employees regarding policies and regulations; addressing a variety of issues and /or providing general support; overseeing the maintenance of records, files and databases of personnel functions confirm to all applicable regulatory requirements. The Personnel Supervisor is responsible for performing in-depth human resource duties under minimal supervision and the nominal supervision of subordinate personnel.
JOB DUTIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING):
- Plans and carries out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity: Recruits, interviews, and selects associates to fill vacant positions.
- Manages employees pool by hiring, retaining, reassigning, or terminating assignments.
- Communicates with other employees, departments, administrators, applicants and the public for personnel records and related legal requirements.
- Plans and conducts new associates orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Trains temporary employees and new hired staff in line with company policies and procedures.
- Monitors and complies with personnel records keeping procedures (e.g. maintaining personnel files, applications, reference checks, and notes into company's software) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
- Keeps records for personnel transactions such as hires, assignments and terminations.
- Investigates associates complaints, prepares reports for the Human Resource Department, and implements corrective /disciplinary action when needed.
- Evaluates performance and counsels associates to improve performance.
- Recommends advancement, promotion or change of status of subordinate associates.
- Reviews and approves associates PTO request.
- Develops ways to retain associates through motivation and encouragement.
- Reviews and monitors weekly payroll to implement legal compliance measures.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by responding to customer inquiries in prompt and adequate manner.
- Assists clients on all service and operational issues.
- Oversees front and ensures orders are filled and branch goals are met.
- Meets with clients and client's personnel to resolve grievances.
- Assists Branch Manager on daily operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
_* At least 1 year experience
- High School Diploma and some college (preferred)
- Valid Class C Drivers License
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
