Barren Heights is seeking an energetic, passionate individual with a positive outlook to join our unique and fun office culture. The College Intern will report to the Marketing & Development Manager, providing creative and administrative support. We are looking for someone who desires to use their hard work and talents to be a force for change in this community.
ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION: To love and encourage families. We do this primarily by providing free mini-vacation style weekend retreats and community center outreach activities for families who have children with physical or developmental disabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Student will be trained on Saleforce CRM basics in order to update and maintain accurate donor records.
- Student will learn and assist with general responsibilities of the current staff.
- Student will learn and assist with Social Media Marketing.
- Student will work with Marketing and Development Manager to create and edit both print and digital content for use in awareness, storytelling, and fundraising campaigns.
- Student will work with Marketing and Development Manager to create and publish quarterly newsletter.
- Student will work with current office staff to create weekly mass emails using Mailchimp.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willing to accept, promote and support the mission, goals and objectives of Barren Heights.

- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Able to use available resources to seek solutions.

- Start and completion date – to be discussed based on availability
- Fifteen hours per week with some opportunity for flexible scheduling
- School credit available
- $8.00 / Hour
