    Job DescriptionThe Process Engineer will be responsible, under the supervision of a Senior Process Engineer or the Department Manager, for process mechanical design, process equipment and installation specifications, equipment design calculations, heat and material balances and vendor management, as well as installation and start-up support. Maintaining and growing solid client relationships is a key performance requirement for this role.Responsibilities:Conduct process mechanical design by developing process flow diagrams and process & instrument diagrams (P&IDs)Create specifications for process equipment procurement and installation.Complete basic piping system design, pump sizing, mass & energy balances, functional & installation specifications, as well as process and instrumentation & control principlesInterface with clients on projects to maintain and grow solid client relationships.Convert information into project documentation, coordinate with multidiscipline teams, and lead project teams.Supervise designers.Equipment procurement including developing material handling methodsManage vendors.Installation and start-up supportTroubleshooting of equipmentRequirements:0- 2 years of industrial project engineering experience involving process and related automation applications. Experience in the food, dairy, beverage/brewery, or personal care industries is highly preferred, including Clean-in-place systems experience.This position requires strong analytical skills, basic understanding of project management fundamentals as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, & AutoCAD). AutoCAD experience is a minimum requirement, with AutoCAD Plant 3D or other 3D modeling experience being strongly preferred.Candidates need to possess effective organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and can work with minimal supervision.This position requires a working knowledge of process flow diagrams, piping & instrument diagrams, mass & heat balances, basic piping system design, pump sizing, material handling methods (liquid and dry or solid phase mechanical materials conveyance), equipment, functional & installation specifications, as well as process instrumentation & control principles. A practical understanding of sanitary design and construction methods and knowledge of process electrical / control and instrumentation design integration is preferred.Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.Education:B.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred but consideration will be given to other engineering degrees based on actual project experience.
