SAMUEL LAWRENCE FOUNDATION is seeking an articulate and motivated individual who will partner with a small team to make a significant, meaningful impact. You will apply your skills and knowledge to real-world problems, while being flexible and creative in solving problems.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours/week in a residential office with other team members. Candidate must be organized and self-motivated.

Our atmosphere is casual, friendly, and fun. Enjoy lunch and the view outside at the picnic table. Occasionally we let the chickens out to run around.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Actively participate in strategy and planning discussions
• Develop programs for short term initiatives
• Contribute to our work on San Onofre nuclear waste: generate social media content, explore scientific research, attend nuclear safety meetings, educate elected officials
• Conduct research, synthesize, and communicate information to develop SLF newsletters and write letters
• Support the Board of Directors
• Answer phone and field questions from stakeholders
• Schedule appointments and conference calls
• Identify, contact, develop, and maintain relationships with academics, community groups, community members, public officials
• Manage fiscal sponsors program, support eight programs
• Track grant spending maintain bookkeeping, tax forms, filings
• Manage social media including website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
• Monitor projects and coordinate development efforts, write grants, participate in board events and annual campaigns
• Feed the chickens :)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Task-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Organized
• Good Technological skills
• Ability to adapt to changes and challenges
• Reliable

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Some science background is helpful

· Bachelor's degree or advanced degree

PAY, BENEFITS:
