Avanti Vail, a high-volume food collective, is looking for bartenders who have a positive attitude and a desire to provide excellent customer service. You will be in charge of taking customer orders, mixing a variety of traditional and creative craft cocktails, making beer and wine recommendations, and keeping the bar area clean and sanitary at all times. This position requires an energetic person with excellent organizational skills and a guest-first attitude. They must be a team player who can handle high volume for extended periods of time. Compensation- $11.79 hourly + tips (Guaranteed match of at least $23.50/hour for all shifts) Responsibilities: • Uphold Avanti standards in regards to recipes, garnishes, pours, cleanliness, stocking, batching, organization of storage areas, and fridges • Assist in educating and inspiring the cocktail servers by coaching and assisting with overall beverage knowledge. • Uphold Avanti service standards and maintain composure as a good brand ambassador for Avanti • Assist management in handling guest questions, comments, and complaints where appropriate • Maintain open and honest communication with the leadership team about all issues or potential issues with staff, bar maintenance, or service protocols • Assist potential bartender candidates by being present during the stage & training • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including wine, beer, liquor, mixed drinks, and more Qualifications: • Prior bar industry experience is highly desired, preferably in a high-volume location • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality • Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification • During the winter season, employees are eligible for a merchant ski pass & given a ski locker in Golden Peak • English proficiency required, ability to speak Spanish is beneficial, but not required • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds when necessary Compensation: $11.79 hourly + tips
