Position Overview

We’re looking for an energetic and customer-focused Bartender/Barista to join our team at The Courthouse. This unique role combines the craft of mixing cocktails with the artistry of coffee making. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and can deliver an exceptional guest experience, whether behind the bar or the espresso machine.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests with a warm, friendly attitude.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, specialty cocktails, coffee, espresso, teas, and other café drinks.
• Take orders accurately, process transactions, and handle POS operations efficiently.
• Maintain knowledge of menu offerings to provide recommendations and upsell specials.
• Ensure drinks are crafted to quality standards and served promptly.
• Keep the bar, café station, and service areas clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with servers, barbacks, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist with inventory control, restocking, and maintaining barista/bartender supplies.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a bartender, barista, or in a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and cocktail techniques (training provided if needed).
• Must meet legal age requirements for alcohol service and obtain TABC and Food Handler certifications before start date.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
