Overview:
We are looking for an adaptable candidate with previous bartending/food service experience and great customer service skills to join our team here at Atwell Suites KCI! The individual in this role will primarily bartend, but will be cross-trained on front desk and kitchen responsibilities in order to provide backup coverage as needed.
Schedule:
Sunday & Monday evening shift, 5pm-11pm
Part-Time
Flexible weekday/weekend availability is a bonus!

Primary Bartending Duties and Responsibilities:
Use great customer service skills by greeting guests pleasantly as they approach the bar, taking and preparing their orders promptly, and creating an overall friendly interaction.
Prepare beverages as requested using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs.
Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
Check guest identification in accordance with federal law.
Follow established Hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times; immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.
Set up the bar accurately and efficiently with all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies.
Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and after every shift.
Primary Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome all guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner, being sure to give recognition to IHG Rewards Club Members and returning guests.
Check guests in, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
Ensure necessary identification is taken from guests at check-in in accordance with local legislative requirements.
Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns promptly and courteously.
Accurately record guest information and preferences in the Hotel’s internal system.
Check guests out; resolve any late or disputed charges.
Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
Primary Cook Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
Prepare ingredients to use in cooking; check the quality of ingredients prior to use.
Cook food with various utensils or grillers; check food while cooking to stir or turn.
Follow proper procedures in handling food to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
Assist in unloading trucks that arrive with supplies; store and rotate inventory.
Clean work area, freezers, kitchen area, and dish area to ensure proper cleanliness is maintained; keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1 year of experience in a similar bartending, food service, kitchen, and/or line cook role is preferred.
Some experience in a front desk/customer service role is preferred.
Must be 21 years or older!
Pay: $17.00/hour, plus tips
