Position: Bartender - Seasonal with Opportunity for Full Time

Location: La Madre, Minneapolis, MN

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Bartenders to join our team and contribute to our guests' unforgettable dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

Bar Expertise:

Prepare and serve various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including classic cocktails, house specials, and unique Mexican-inspired drinks.

Demonstrate expert knowledge of tequila, mezcal, and other spirits, ensuring precise preparation and presentation of beverages.

Innovate and create new cocktail recipes that align with the restaurant's upscale Mexican theme.

Customer Service:

Greet guests with a warm, friendly demeanor and provide attentive, personalized service.

Engage with customers to understand their preferences and make tailored beverage recommendations.

Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.

Food Pairing:

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant’s menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles.

Advise guests on ideal beverage pairings to enhance their dining experience, demonstrating a deep appreciation for Mexican cuisine.

Bar Maintenance:

Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked with all necessary supplies.

Follow proper sanitation and safety protocols, including accurate labeling and storage of ingredients.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management regarding stock needs and shortages.

Sales and Upselling:

Promote and upsell premium beverages, special promotions, and featured items to enhance guest satisfaction and boost sales.

Accurately process transactions using the POS system, handle cash, and maintain financial integrity.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Bartender in an elevated dining environment, preferably with a focus on Mexican cuisine.

Knowledge of tequila, mezcal, other Mexican spirits, and general mixology principles.

Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

A passion for Mexican culture, cuisine, and beverages.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
