Job Overview - The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at Burger Theory®. Restaurant Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.
Job Qualifications
Energetic personality that shows an urgency for service
Entensive knowledge of Bourbons and able to communicate effective to guests
Knowledgably about liquor brands, wine selection and mixology. Able to communicate effectively to the guest.
Strong interpersonal skills with positive attitude and a willingness to help others
Must speak English fluently and be able to write basic English
Food Handler Certification / STAR Certification General Responsibilities
Wash dishes
Proper cash handling
Greets all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
Prepares the tables with full condiments, & proper roll-up depending on time of day, as well as checking cleanliness and maintenance of all chairs and tables.
Stays updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, if the kitchen staff is running out of any items...etc.
Handles the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presents menus, suggests dishes & drink selections, informs customers about food preparation details, communicates specific customer needs to the cooks.
Maintains proper dining experience by delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
Presents receipts, accepts payments / returns the change.
Performs basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
Fills in for absent staff as needed & assists with special events as needed.
Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
Understands and can communicate products and services available at the hotel.
Discretion This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances. As a Burger Theory Bartender, you will be expected to work with guests and visitors to ensure complete satisfaction. A Burger Theory Bartender will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor only when previous methods have been unsuccessful.
