Bartender / Server Bellefonte Café - Wilmington, DE

Job Summary Bellefonte Café is seeking a seasoned Bartender/Server to join our team. This role is best suited for someone who’s equally confident running a bar and taking care of a dining room in a small, fast-paced environment.

Our bar program is rooted in classic cocktails, consistency, and attention to detail. Service here is hands-on, professional, and guest-focused-- this is not a training role. You should be able to step in and contribute immediately.

Availability for both day and evening shifts is required.

Responsibilities

Take food and drink orders with confidence and provide thoughtful recommendations

Prepare classic cocktails, wine, beer, and house drinks with consistency and precision

Seamlessly move between bar and floor service as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace

Verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service laws

Accurately process payments and handle cash with accountability

Balance drawers and ensure accuracy in all cash and card transactions

Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering bar inventory and supplies

Communicate with management on inventory levels and product needs.

Complete opening and closing duties, including prep and breakdown

Work closely with the team to keep service smooth and efficient

Qualifications

Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment

Experience with inventory management and ordering preferred

Demonstrated ability to responsibly handle cash and reconcile transactions

Solid knowledge of classic cocktails and foundational mixology

Ability to execute drinks accurately without relying on recipes

High attention to detail and consistency under pressure

Strong communication, multitasking, and time-management skills

Professional, team-oriented mindset

Must meet legal requirements for alcohol service
