    JOB SUMMARY:

    CDL license helpful.  The successful Journeyman Electrician will be proficient and familiar with electrical code through the NEC; assembling, installing, maintaining, and testing electrical equipment in oil and gas, commercial and industrial settings. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times while working on construction projects as a part of the Bartley Industries, Inc. team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, dependable and will show up with a good attitude.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assists with training of apprentice electricians.

    Oversees project and apprentice electricians on the job-site.

    Uphold Safety Culture by holding self and other electricians accountable to safety expectations while on site.

    Set up job sites including ensuring proper traffic control procedures are in place.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in oil and gas, industrial and commercial settings.

    Prepares work area for installation of equipment.

    Installs or helps install electrical components.

    Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.

    Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate. (Note: Powder activated tools, and JLG lifts and other operations that may require certification and training before operating).

    Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems.

    Able to read blueprints and electrical drawings and install as specified.

    Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.

    Secure and lock up equipment after use.

    Journeyman Trade Certification in a related Construction trade will be considered highly desirable.

    A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.

    Follow instructions from supervisor or other journeyman lead electricians.

    Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

    CDL license helpful.  

    Ability to install and maintain PLC's, 480V power, 120V control circuit, transformers and motors, electronic controls by following electrical drawings and using test instruments such as a voltmeter, ammeter.

    Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and industrial equipment such as motors, starters, relays, solid state circuitry electro-mechanical components, AC, and DC solid state drives or PLCs.

    Ability to interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

    Ability to fabricate, install and/or run conduit, 3-Phase work, motor terminations, control and instrument troubleshooting and panel work.

    Ability to install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

    Ability to test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.

    Ability to maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, and reactors.

    Ability to test and install electrical motors, generators, and pneumatic electrical control systems.

    Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.

    Ability to install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

    Ability to install electrical circuits and equipment including panels, conduit, protective devices, switches, and related equipment as required.

    Ability to layout and install electrical systems, wiring, and components.

    Ability to measure, cut, bend, and install various types and sizes of conduit including: EMT, Rigid, and Rob Roy.

    Ability to install MC Cable, unit strut, and cable tray.

    Ability to install fixtures according to spec and code.

    Ability to operate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical benders, threaders, wire pullers, power drill, power strippers, power punch, hand tools, and other related field tools.

    Ability to lift heavy objects up to 90 pounds, and push and pull objects as required.

    Ability to work well with others with a good attitude.

    Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, 40 hours a week, and overtime as required and night shifts.

    Ability to read, write and understand English fluently.

    Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by jobsite.

    Must be hard working and have the drive and determination to complete the task at hand.

    _REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: _

    CDL license helpful.

    4+ years experience as a oil and gas, industrial and commercial electrician (Journeyman)

    Oklahoma State Electrical License (Journeyman Card)

    Reliable transportation

    Good attendance and punctuality required

    Must be self-motivated and willing to work from descriptions and blue prints

    Legal to work in the US

    Valid US driver's license

    Clean driving record

    Physical ability to perform labor work and able to pass a physical exam

    Must pass a pre-employment post job offer drug screen

    Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check

    On-Call required for working overtime when needed, including weekends and holidays as needed.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    CDL license helpful.

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Experience and proficiency running electrical conduit with precision expertise

    Must have layout capabilities

    Oil and gas install and service repairs

    _WORK ENVIRONMENT: _

    Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including climbing, sitting, standing, walking and driving.

    Regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and confined areas designed to contain sparks and glare.

    Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses at all times), respirator when required.

    May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.

    Required to wear common protective safety equipment; safety boots, heat-resistant gloves, goggles, masks with protective lenses, and other equipment to prevent burns, eye injuries or other injuries from falling objects.
