    INSIDE SALES COORDINATOR

    LOCATION:  SPARKS, NV, US

    Description: Basalite Building Products, LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete masonry products in the Western United States. Product lines include structural block, interlocking paving stones, engineered wall systems, retaining walls, ornamental and garden products, and a full range of sack goods.     POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Location Manager, this position supports the Outside Sales, Retail and Clerical Admin teams. This position is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the CORE VALUES OF INTEGRITY, SAFETY, RESPECT, CUSTOMER FOCUS, QUALITY, INNOVATION AND FINANCIAL SUCCESS. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Maintain contact and support the Dealer, Engineered Products and Commercial Pavers Sales Teams.
    • Support Clerical and administrative operations including point of sale, billing, and auditing.
    • Assist with job quotes, order processing, production tracking and deliveries.
    • Process add/change orders on the Excel order forms and in SAP.
    • Create and maintain job files.
    • Perform stock checks and material searches in SAP S/4.
    • Write-up, research, and follow-up on customer needs.
    • Contact customers by telephone as necessary. Customers include contractors, dealers, homeowners, etc.
    • Perform research and investigate issues and offer solutions as they arise.
    • Run monthly open order reports for each outside Sales Representative.
    • Reconcile orders and order closeout when jobs are completed, or a final is requested.
    • Provide backup for order entry, invoicing, issuing returns and processing credits.
    • Attend in-house sales meetings as required.
    • Work with Sales staff and management to update price books on an annual basis.
    • Assist in performing semi-annual inventory
    • Assist other staff with needed duties where feasible.
    • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
    • Predictable and Regular attendance is required and works overtime as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • High school diploma or equivalent; and one (1) to three (3) years related experience and/or training on Inside Sales support in concrete masonry industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Working knowledge of hardscapes and masonry codes and standards preferred.

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, co-workers and vendors.

    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    • Must be able to operate a PC plus related software (Microsoft Office Applications) and other various standard office machines and equipment necessary to complete duties. Working knowledge of SAP S/4 software preferred, but not required.

    • Predictable and Regular attendance is required and works overtime as needed.

    • Occasional Plant environment with loud noise, moving machinery, dusty, dirty.
