    Position Summary

    The Value-Based Network Development Consultant is responsible for targeted outreach and engagement with primary care providers (PCPs) referring into a clinically integrated musculoskeletal (MSK) network (orthopedic specialist providers). This role focuses on providers already contracted with a major Medicare Advantage plan and is accountable for contracting with them for a value-based incentive plan.

    The consultant will build relationships with key decision-makers, educate providers on the value-based care model, and guide them through the benefits of participation and the contracting process. Success in this role requires effectively communicating the clinical and financial value proposition, addressing objections, and securing participation agreements to strengthen network performance and alignment.

    This role supports a client focused on musculoskeletal (MSK) value-based care, with an emphasis on value-based contracting models and clinically integrated network (CIN) structures.

    ** Preference may be given to a candidate who is located in the AZ market and who has existing relationships with PCP groups and may be able and willing to make personal visits to provider offices.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provider Recruitment & Contracting: Engage a targeted list of PCP groups, orthopedic and musculoskeletal providers already participating in a Medicare Advantage network. Identify key decision-makers and drive adoption of value-based care programs by securing executed participation agreements.
    • Pipeline Management (Targeted Leads): Manage and prioritize a defined pipeline of in-network providers. Conduct structured follow-up, maintain engagement across longer decision cycles, and advance opportunities to close.
    • Value Proposition Delivery: Clearly communicate the clinical, operational, and financial benefits of the value-based incentive model, tailoring messaging to provider-specific priorities.
    • Key Focus Areas for Network Development
    • Relationship Management & Onboarding: Build relationships with providers throughout the engagement lifecycle. Support onboarding and ensure providers understand program expectations, performance metrics, and incentive structures.
    • Objection Handling & Engagement: Address provider concerns related to value-based care participation, operational impact, and workflow changes, to drive informed decision-making.

    Key Focus Areas for Network Development

    • Value-Based Contracting: Expand provider participation in value-based programs, emphasizing quality outcomes, cost efficiency, and program incentives.
    • Clinically Integrated Networks (CIN): Support provider alignment referring into a clinically integrated network to enhance care coordination, standardize clinical pathways, and improve overall network performance.

    Required Qualifications

    • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in managed care, provider network development, or value-based care environments.
    • Contracting Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of provider contracting, value-based reimbursement models, and managed care principles.
    • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence and educate providers.
    • Technology: Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Must have high-speed internet and a minimum of 2 PC screens, and preferably 3 screens.

    Experience:

    • Provider Network Development: 3 years (Required)

    Compensation: $40. - $50./hr.
